Info | After graduating Summa Cum Laude from the University of Colorado, Michael Delavar worked his way through various flying jobs before landing a job with an airline. Now a captain, Michael is responsible for the safety and well-being of his crew and passengers. He takes this responsibility very seriously.
Lowering taxes, a strong respect for the law, and a love for a sovereign America are the underlying themes in Michael’s campaign. As a child, Michael’s love for these simple principles of freedom were laid when he read The Law by Frederick Bastiat. Michael was home-schooled along with his three siblings. His parents instilled in him the traditional American values they prized so much. Michael worked his way through college while learning to fly at the US Air Force Academy Aero Club.
His favorite saying of his mother’s is, “It does not matter how smart you are, or how much money you have if you are not kind, nothing else matters.”
In March of 2000, Michael met his wife, Katja while tango dancing in Seattle. Three months later, they were married and now have two energetic boys, 2-, and 4-years old. When he is not campaigning or flying, Michael reads to his boys, paints oil portraits, ballroom dances with his wife, and cultivates bonsai. Michael, his wife and two children live in Washougal, in southwest Washington.
