InfoRepresentative Margo McNeil, a Democrat, represents parts of Hazelwood, Florissant and Bridgeton (District 78) in the Missouri House of Representatives.

Prior to her legislative duties, Rep. McNeil worked for 22 years as an art teacher with the Ferguson Florissant School District.

Rep. McNeil received the Lorna Bottger Award from the Missouri NEA in 1999 and the Missouri Women’s Equity Award in 2003.

She is the great granddaughter of former United States Congressman Courtney W. Hamlin of Greene County, Missouri (7th District).

Rep. McNeil attends St. Andrew United Methodist Church in Florissant and is a member of the following organizations: Missouri National Education Association; National Art Education Association; League of Women Voters; Missouri Women’s Network; St. Louis Community College Board of Trustees. Rep. McNeil also serves as Secretary of the Women’s Democratic Caucus.

A 1966 graduate of Hannibal High School, Rep. McNeil attended Stephen’s College in Columbia, Missouri and received a bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts and a master’s degree in Art Education from the University of Cincinnati.

Born June 22, 1948 in Cincinnati, Ohio, Rep. McNeil currently lives in Hazelwood with her husband, Jim. They have three children – Nathan, Stuart and Megan.
