InfoStephan grew up in Nevada and Colorado the product of a German immigrant mother who lived through WWII and an Air Force father that lived through "The Depression".

He served in the Air Force on active duty from 1978 to 1982 performing nuclear alert on the B-52. He used his Veteran Education Assistance Program ($240 a month) and worked his way through college. He paid his student loans off within 18 months. After graduating with a degree in Industrial Science from Colorado State University in 1988, he moved to the Northwest for a job with Boeing and also joined the Air Reserve unit at Portland International Airport.

Mr. Brodhead arrived in the Northwest almost penniless. Through vision, intelligence, hardwork, tenacity, and execution, he created a small business from scratch. Stephan built their commercial building from the plans up, performing every phase of construction himself. He used this same philosphy of vision and hardwork to build a modest real estate portfolio.

In 1991, Stephan became a C-141B/C Flight Engineer in the Air Force Reserves. Flying worldwide, he has been involved in every major military operation since Desert Storm, and was activated for 18 months in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom in February 2003 . He performed medivacs out of Iraq. He retired from the Reserves a short time after the C-141C was retired from the Air Force inventory. One of his last duties as an Airman was flying 65-0151 to the Boneyard at Davis Monthan Air Force Base. He retired from the Air Force Reserves on January 1st, 2006. (see below resume).

Mr. Brodhead believes that all veterans that return from the battlefield have an obligation to serve and grow. Service to one's country, although importanat, is not the end all be all, and does not completely define the patriot individual. Veteran's must set education and achievement goals, and continue to "lead by example". They must redefine themselves. Patriot contributions on the battlefild must be followed up with goal setting and leadership in the civilian arena. Veteran's have an obligation to pull their boot straps up and become vital pillars of society. Great warriors go on to be great citizens, and nothing less is acceptable.

Stephan has lived in Hillsboro with his wife Diane since 2003.
