InfoBob Gaffner is a resident of Greenville and is currently the Chief Accounts Analyst-Special Assignments with the U.S. Department of the Treasury, Internal Revenue Service in St. Louis, MO. He has been with the IRS since 1993. He was formerly the Vice-President of St. Louis Community College System and Executive Director of the College Foundation for 25 years until his retirement in 199l. He was elected as Kaskaskia College Trustee in 1975 and his present term expires 2005. During his tenure on the board, he has held the officer positions of Secretary, Vice-Chairman and Chairman. He has also served as Secretary, Treasurer, Vice-President, and President of the Illinois Community College Trustees Association (ICCTA). Bob is veteran of the Korean Conflict; he served with the United States Air Force from 1951 to 1954. He is also an Elder at the First Presbyterian Church in Greenville. Bob's philosophy for life helps keep everything in perspective: "Life is hard by the yard but a cinch by the inch."
