Info | DISNEY, Wesley Ernest, a Representative from Oklahoma; born in Richland, Shawnee County, Kans., October 31, 1883; attended the public schools of Kansas and was graduated from the law department of the University of Kansas at Lawrence in 1906; was admitted to the Kansas bar in 1906, the Oklahoma bar in 1908, and began practice in Muskogee, Okla., in 1908; county attorney of Muskogee County, Okla., 1911-1915; member of the State house of representatives 1919-1924; chairman of the board of managers in the impeachment trial of Gov. John C. Walton in 1923; elected as a Democrat to the Seventy-second and to the six succeeding Congresses (March 4, 1931-January 3, 1945); was not a candidate for renomination in 1944, but was an unsuccessful candidate for the Democratic nomination for United States Senator; engaged in the practice of law in Washington, D.C., and Tulsa, Okla., until his death in Washington, D.C., March 26, 1961; interment in Memorial Park Cemetery, Tulsa, Okla.
