InfoHank Eng, like many CD6 residents, is a recent transplant to Colorado having moved from Wisconsin in 2005.

Originally from New York, Hank attended Rensselaer Polytechnic University receiving a degree in Management Engineering.

In 1972, he was invited to join the Peace Corps as a volunteer and worked in Kenya as a development officer. Upon completion of a tour of duty, Hank joined the US Agency for International Development as a Project Engineer and continued working in East Africa until 1983.

Upon his return to the US, Hank earned a degree in Aviation from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University and began a career with GE Aircraft Engines.

His 20+ year career took him to many cross-roads in history. Assignments included a stint in Pakistan during a military dictatorship, China during Tiananmen, and the Soviet Union at the fall of Communism.

Hank returned to the U.S. with his family in 2000. During this time, he also completed the Executive MBA program with Rutgers University.

Seasoned experience in elected Office
In 2003, Hank was elected to the Appleton City Common Council in Wisconsin. He served on the Community Development Committee which oversaw the block grants program funding organizations that provided assistance for people in need.

A life-long supporter of libraries, Hank was named to the board of directors of the Appleton Public Library. During this time, the Appleton Public Library was named Wisconsin Library of the Year in 2004.

Hank is presently a candidate for the The Board of Directors of South Metro Fire Rescue, Colorado.

Community Service
Currently, Hank is an active member of the Colorado Wing of the Civil Air Patrol. He participates as mission crew for search and rescue missions as part of this auxiliary of the US Air Force.

He is a consultant to various aviation and aerospace businesses and organizations locally, nationally, and internationally. A
licensed commercial pilot and instructor, he enjoys taking aviation-minded youth on their first flights as part of the Young Eagles Program.

Hank is married and together with wife Lindsay and daughter Kendall live in unincorporated Arapahoe County.
