InfoSteve Eagleton was born in Saint Louis and brought up in a tradition of service to the community. When Steve was 10 years old, his father, a doctor, suffered a debilitating stroke. Despite the new responsibilities Steve assumed within his family, he excelled in his schoolwork. He graduated from Clayton High School in 1980 and entered the University of San Diego, a small Jesuit university in California. Steve worked part-time throughout his university career and graduated in 1985 with a degree in business administration. After working for the Teamsters and other companies to gain business experience, he returned to Saint Louis and earned a Juris Doctorate at Saint Louis University School of Law in 1996.

Steve founded Eagle Realty in 1997, a company he still owns. While in Atlanta on business, Steve met and married the love of his life, Moranda Shaw, an elementary school teacher who was twice nominated as Teacher of the Month. Moranda is active with the Coalition for Life Saving Cures and the International Reading Association.

Steve returned to his Saint Louis home in 2005 to help his siblings care for their mother who suffers from Alzheimer’s disease, and most recently began working with Garrison Development in redeveloping the historic Lemp Brewery downtown. He and Moranda live in Kirkwood.

In recent months, Steve has served as co-chair of Kirkwood Citizens Coming Together for a Brighter Future, an organization founded to promote community healing in the wake of the tragic shootings at Kirkwood City Hall in February. His efforts to bring the shattered community together earned him the esteem of neighbors and community leaders throughout the district.
