Mr. Agran has served as Legal Counsel to California State Senate Committee on Health and Welfare. He has taught legislation and public policy at the UCLA School of Law and at UC Irvine's Graduate School of Management. In December, 2002 Mayor Agran received the 100 Black Men of Orange County Annual Award for Economic Empowerment for his commitment to promoting diversity in Irvine through strategic public-private partnerships. The award recognizes Mayor Agran's role in supporting African American business and his dedication to the belief that all communities are enriched -- both economically and socially -- through the integration of people of all cultures and backgrounds.
