| Info | Genia has been teaching for over 36 years. Her career as an educator involved serving as vice-president of the ATA local, as chairperson of the teachers/board liaison committee, serving on the provincial Curriculum Board (Ukrainian as a second language); and being nominated for an Excellence in Teaching Award.
She has served on the Advisory Council on Alberta-Ukraine Relations, President of the Lakeland Ukrainian Association, Executive member of the Kiev’s-K-Hi Ukrainian Youth Camp, and President of the St. Elias Ukrainian Orthodox Church.
She and her husband Ron have a son and a daughter.
