InfoPaul Langdon was born on February 17, 1914 in Columbus, Ohio. He made a profession of faith in Jesus Christ at an early age and grew up in Westgate Friends Church in Columbus. He and Marjorie Clark were married in 1935 and had 67 years together before she went to be the the Lord in 2002. They raised two sons, Larry and Robert. Family was very important to Paul. He was very proud of his sons and all 6 of his grandchildren: Virginia (Barry) Langdon-Lassagne Robin (Larry) Winterlin Michelle (Todd) Olson Annette Langdon Heidi (Derek) Short Jonathon Langdon Paul was also blessed with 8 great-grandchildren. Paul's faith was important to him. He served in many capacities for his local church and denomination, including being on the boards of Malone College and Earlham School of Religion. He also served God in a variety of other ways. He was Chairman of the Billy Graham Central Ohio Crusade and Treasurer of the Ohio Children's Society for 25 years. He was President of the Friends' Home for 7 years and for 34 years was a Trustee of Bible Literature International. Paul received a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Ohio State University. He became a Certified Public Accountant, receiving the gold medal for the highest score in the Ohio CPA exam. For 30 years he was Manager of Finance and Accounting, and Assistant Treasurer of Battelle Memorial Institute. He served as President ot the Columbus Chapters of the Administrative Management Society and also the Ohio Society of Certified Public Accountants. He was active in several capacities for the Financial Executives' Institute over his career -- as National Director, Vice President, and President. For 28 years, he served on the Columbus Board of Education, several times as president. Many other professional and civic organizations benefited from Paul's dedication and expertise. He has always had a servant's heart.
