Info | Faye, as a former professor of economics, has lived in the three major metropolitan areas of Florida since 1994:
* The Greater Tampa Bay Area
* The Greater Orlando Area
* The Greater Jacksonville/St Augustine Area
She is the mother of five children, with one grandchild and a second grandchild on the way. Her son-in-law is in the United States Army. Prior to moving to Florida, Faye lived in California where she was employed in the healthcare industry.
Faye is best known for her national stem cell research activism, but her interests extend to:
* ending the Iraq occupation
* fighting for a universal healthcare system
* ensuring veterans benefits
* environmental issues related to global warming
* illegal immigration
* the growing US debt and trade deficits
* and the expenditures of trillions of dollars on wars that benefit non-American corporations instead of American jobs and infrastructure.
Faye’s political activism has earned her media coverage in prominent news publications such as the Atlanta Journal Constitution, Tampa Tribune, Los Angeles Times, St. Petersburg Times, Orlando Sentinel, Florida Times Union, Folio Magazine and the Wall Street Journal. While other early stem cell research activists pursued positions in and for industry, Faye has chosen to continue serving the public by running for congress in Florida’s District 7.
Faye brings to her activism a broad perspective: In addition to solid experience in economics and public health care, due to her father's employment with a large multi-national corporation, she was raised in Europe, South America, the Far East, and the Middle East. In fact, she spent the 9th and 10th grades at the American International School in Iran, prior to the fall of the Shah. Her varied experience and previous employment in both industry and education prepare her to deal with the issues that most concern the people of District 7:
* Providing Americans with a universal healthcare system
* Ending the Iraq occupation and addressing the nation’s real security issues
* Developing and promoting sustainable energy sources
* Developing water-wise technologies to conserve our natural water resources
* Ensuring veterans’ benefits and their well-being upon their return home from Iraq and Afghanistan
* Family issues, including those of women and children, many of whom live with the increased burden of single-parent households.
* Controlling Illegal Immigration to protect jobs for the citizens of District 7 and to ensure our national security by preventing terrorists from entering the US undetected.
A* ddressing the real estate foreclosure crisis, high gas prices and rising cost of living expenses that are affecting all Americans.
Faye is eager to hear from you about your concerns. What do you want your representative from District 7 to do for you in Washington?
