| Info | Al was first elected as a Council Member for the Town of Kensington in 2002. He was recently re-elected to his third term with a record 83% of the vote in a contested election and was also elected Mayor Pro-Tem by his Council Colleagues.
He has been active with the Maryland Municipal League and serves on the board of directors of the Maryland Black Caucus of Local Elected Officials. Al's relationships
with elected leaders across the state were instrumental in his efforts to lobby for electric utility reforms this past year in Annapolis.
As a non-partisan Town Councilman, Al has worked with the community and other
elected officials to champion many initiatives.
