InfoAlia Garcia has lived in West Texas almost all of her life & graduated from Fort Stockton High School, Midland College’s LVN Program, New Mexico Junior College’s RN Program & University of Notre Dame’s School of Business Non-Profit Executive Program.



Alia is married to Gilbert with whom she has a family of 5 young adults & 5 minor children. Along with her husband, Alia serves as a managing member of Gateway Salvage & Recycling, LLC, a small business, which provides scrap metal demolition & small environmental clean-up services for oil & gas companies, businesses, ranchers & residents of the Trans-Pecos & Permian Basin region.



Alia, a Republican Party of Texas member, has ancestry rooted deep in the Conservative Party, including some of her family who was inducted as members of the National Sons & Daughters of the American Revolution.



Alia served in the official capacity of Texas State Commissioner from 2014 -2019 as an appointee & advisory council cabinet member of two Texas Governors, U.S. Secretary of Energy Rick Perry & Greg Abbott.



Alia Garcia is a lifetime member of the National Rifle Association (NRA), Spanish-Texian Land Grant Community, and Hadassah Women’s Zionist Organization of America; member of the Republican Party of Texas (RPT), Republican Jewish Coalition (RJC), Congregation B’nai Zion Talmud of El Paso, TX, International Association of Women (IAW), State of Texas Alliance for Recycling (STAR), American Nurses Association (ANA); member of the board of directors of the Sephardic Anusim Cultural Heritage Resource Center; and former State Board Member of the Texas Holocaust & Genocide Commission (THGC).
