Info | Mark Arbib was elected General Secretary of the Australian Labor Party (NSW Branch) in June 2004. He served as Assistant General Secretary from 1999 and was the ALP State Organiser between 1996 and 1999.
Most recently, Mark served as Campaign Director for Morris Iemma’s successful 2007 state election campaign. He was the Deputy Campaign Director for the successful 2003 state election and Campaign Director for numerous successful state and federal by-elections. Mark has worked on other political campaigns around Australia.
Prior to working for the ALP, Mark worked as a Metal Trades Assistant, Beach Inspector, Trade Union Official and Restaurant Cook. In 1995, Mark was elected as President of NSW Young Labor after joining the Party in 1992.
Mark has a Master of Arts in Political Science and Economic History from the University of NSW. He lives in Sydney with his wife and daughter.
