InfoGold Coast businessman Sam Miszkowski is Labor's candidate for Moncrieff.

He has been motivated to stand by the Howard Government's ongoing failure to address the challenges facing Australia and to protect the rights and conditions of working families.

Currently the director of an investment and mortgage brokering firm, Sam is acutely aware of the challenges facing first time home buyers under strain from Liberal interest rate rises and petrol prices.

Sam will fight for the Coast's fair share of infrastructure and roads funding. He is also passionate about helping the thousands of people in the hospitality and tourism industries retain the basic rights and conditions the Howard government is intent on ripping away with the unfair IR laws.

A strong advocate of Queensland industry, Sam has been instrumental in furthering opportunities for local businesses abroad, having served as CEO of the Australia-Israel Chamber of Commerce Queensland and helping facilitate several trade delegations overseas.

Sam has an Associate Diploma in Industrial Relations and is a member of the Australian Institute of Management, President of the Gold Coast Jewish Community Council, and a former President of Brisbane's Temple Shalom.

He has been married to Liisa for 28 years and is proud father of two adult daughters.
