| Info | Garry was born in Gympie. His parents owned and worked a dairy farm in the district. He started his working life as a public servant, working in many rural and regional towns before settling in Bundaberg.
Taking a new career direction, Garry studied to gain a Real Estate Agents Licence and Auctioneering Licence. He worked for several agencies before opening and operating his own Real Estate Agency in 1994.
Many people in Bundaberg know Garry Parr as the person who helped them buy their first home, or through his wife and daughters with their involvement in school, music and sport.
He was recently a Director on the Bundaberg Port Authority (a position he resigned from before nominating as a candidate for parliament).
Garry and his wife Robyn have lived in Bundaberg for the past 30 years. They have raised and educated three daughters locally.
