Info | LOGUE, James Washington, a Representative from Pennsylvania; born in Philadelphia, Pa., February 22, 1863; attended the public schools and was graduated from La Salle College, Philadelphia, Pa.; studied law; was admitted to the bar in 1888 and commenced the practice of his profession in Philadelphia; elected as a Democrat to the Sixty-third Congress (March 4, 1913-March 3, 1915); unsuccessful candidate for reelection in 1914 to the Sixty-fourth Congress; unsuccessful candidate for Lieutenant Governor of Pennsylvania in 1918; resumed the practice of law in Philadelphia; member of the speakers’ bureau of the Council of National Defense during the First World War; secretary of the board of inspectors of the Eastern Penitentiary in 1923; died in Philadelphia, Pa., August 27, 1925; interment in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
