Baker and served from October 29, 1861, to September 12, 1862, when a successor was elected; was not a candidate for election; resumed the practice of law; moved to New London, Conn.; member of the board of aldermen of New London, Conn., 1873-1874; member, State house of representatives 1874; member of the Connecticut State Prison Commission; died in New London, Conn., October 10, 1898; interment in Cedar Grove Cemetery.
