InfoRaised in South Pinette, Darlene completed her early education in the local school system. Beginning in a one-room schoolhouse, she eventually went on to earn a degree in Business from Casco Bay College in Maine.

As a very proud mother to Katie, 26, and Glen, 23, Darlene dedicated most of her time to her children when they were young, but also worked for CIBC, M&M Furniture, and used her creative energy and business sense to manage her own interior design company.

In recent years, Darlene has lived in areas as distant as the United Arab Emirates and Indonesia where she played a prominent role in many fundraising campaigns, from landmine removal projects in Afghanistan to clothing drives for the underprivileged. However, regardless of where she was in the world, she has always maintained close ties to the Island with frequent visits and constant communication. Her time abroad contributes to her broader sense of the ‘global village' and has strengthened her appreciation and respect for the Island's rural way of life and close-knit communities.

Raised in a family that holds firm beliefs in the value of public service and participation in the democratic process, Darlene continues this tradition by offering her commitment to represent the values, concerns, and interests of residents throughout the constituency of Belfast-Murray River.

On October 15 th , Darlene respectfully seeks your support for the District 4 Belfast-Murray River seat. As an Opposition member she will use her determination and level-headed approach to hold Government to their promises and to ensure that debate and decisions reflect the best interests of this District and the Island as a whole.
