InfoBob Bailey was born and raised in the Sarnia-Lambton community. He has been a member of the PC Party for 37 years, starting as a member of the Young Progressive Conservative Association and, later, serving as that organization's president. Bob has devoted much of his lifetime to serving the Sarnia-Lambton community. He realizes that the business and labour communities have been greatly affected by the current government's lack of direction and focus.

He believes that there are three issues at the forefront in Sarnia-Lambton: health care and the long-awaited construction of the new hospital; the loss of manufacturing jobs in our local community, as well as the threatened closure of the Lambton Generating Station. Third; and, of no less importance, the lack of funding needed to strengthen and preserve our farming and rural communities.

Bob has been an employee of NOVA Chemicals for more than 30 years and currently holds the position of Maintenance Contract Co-ordinator. His former community service includes having served as: a municipal councillor for Enniskillen Township; as a board member for the Charlotte Eleanor Englehart Hospital (now Bluewater Health); and, as fund-raising chairperson for the Sarnia-Lambton United Way.

Pursuant to Cabinet Order in Council appointments, Bob has served as the Returning Officer for Elections Ontario in the riding of Lambton-Kent-Middlesex and as chairperson of the Sarnia and Lambton Unemployment Insurance Appeals Tribunal.

Bob has been married to Elizabeth for 37 years and they reside in the Town of Petrolia. They are very proud of their three adult children, son-in-law and 2 beautiful grand-children.

Bob says the voters of Sarnia-Lambton can count on him to work diligently in pursuing the completion of the new hospital and ensuring the retention of local jobs at the L.G.S. He is also a vocal advocate for policies that provide fairness for our farmers and rural communities.
