Info | Frank E. Schiefer is a lifelong resident of Westmoreland County, currently residing in Hempfield Township. He is a 1999 graduate of Hempfield High School and holds a BA in Political Science from West Virginia University in Morgantown, West Virginia.
Mr. Schiefer is employed by Mary Lou’s Party World in Penn Township, where he serves as a member of the management team. The business experience he has gained in this job will serve him well in county government. Frank said, “County government needs to be run like a business and I know that my experience will allow me to achieve this goal.”
Mr. Schiefer also has an extensive political background. In 2004, he was elected to the Westmoreland County Republican Committee. In 2005, he was the Republican nominee for the Office of Clerk of Courts in which he received a record number of votes for a GOP row office candidate. In 2006, he was elected to the Republican State Committee and is currently the youngest member. During the same year, he was elected chairman of District Five of the County Committee which includes the communities of Hempfield Township, New Stanton, Arona and Youngwood; he was also unanimously appointed to the Board of Auditors by the Hempfield Township Board of Supervisors. During the 2006 Gubernatorial Campaign, Mr. Schiefer served as the Westmoreland County Coordinator of the Lynn Swann for Governor Campaign. Despite Mr. Swann’s landslide statewide loss, he carried Westmoreland County by more than 10,000 votes.
