Info | Scott Warner lives and works in the riding he represents. Scott is a senior underwriter, in the accident and health section for the Cartis Insurance company of Canada as. He is also a program director at Group Insurance Pharmaceutical Committee.
Scott brings a vast background in consulting and risk management to this effort. He is a 25-year veteran of the Employee Benefits Industry, and has worked in underwriting, business analysis and management. Well known in the industry for both technical and technology skills, Scott’s most recent work was in enterprise risk management, an area of emerging importance to public and private corporations. Scott went to Seneca College of Applied Arts and Technology for business from 1982 to 1985.
Scott has worked on projects considered for the St. Andrews University of Scotland Environmental Prize (2005). He is currently assisting on background plans for an attempt at the Branson Prize: a cash prize for the first firm or individual that can sequester one million tonnes of carbon. He is an active member of a fraternal organization and has led this group towards such efforts as shoreline cleanups, adopt-a-road programs and the general encouragement of youth involvement in the stewardship of our world.” He has been a member of the Freemasons.
In 2007, Scott ran for the Mississauga-Streetsville riding for the GPO, he captured 7.5% of the vote.
Scott lives with his partner Anneliesje Warner and their daughter Portia.
