InfoJim Capparelli is a lifelong resident of the 3rd District, attending St. Rene grammar school, Marist High School, University of Illinois-Chicago, and DePaul University Law School.

Jim is a Lieutenant Colonel in the U.S. Army with over 20 years of service. He currently is the Battalion Commander of the 13th PSYOP Battalion in Arden Hill, Minnesota. Jim is an Airborne Ranger and combat veteran. Presently, he is a partner in the law firm of Carlson, Fimbianti & Capparelli. He is a former prosecuting attorney and former Veteran Rights Bureau Chief for the Attorney General. Jim is married to Christine, a local pharmacist with 20 years of service for Walgreen’s. They have two children, both enrolled at St. Daniel the Prophet in the Garfield Ridge community.

Jim is passionate about many things, but his zealousness for serving his community and country is his primary driving force for declaring his candidacy. This is evidenced by his illustrious career as a felony prosecutor, continuing service in the Army and involvement in Veteran affairs.

Jim is a “neighborhood guy”, not a transplant from the world of academia. He’s in touch with the issues that directly affect the constituents of the 3rd District, the State of Illinois, and the United States.
