InfoTorbjorn Zetterlund 50, is a resource manager at a Toronto software company. He graduated from Fridhemsplans Hogskola in Sweden with a degree in computer science, and worked as a project manager in the banking industry for several years. He had the opportunity to live and work in various countries before settling with his wife and child in Canada in 1994 where his youngest child was born. He became a Canadian citizen in 2002.

Torbjorn's interest in the environment and politics started in his native Sweden, and was heightened during his travels. He has chosen to be the Green Party candidate in Willowdale so that his children and others like them can enjoy clean air, clean land, and clean water and a sustainable future.

He believes in service to his community. He founded a community neighbourhood website (www.findmore.ca), where he writes articles on the environment and social issues and engages with members to form neighbourhood groups to discuss how they impact on local concerns. He is a volunteer coach for his kids' soccer and ice hockey teams because he believes that involving children in a healthy life style is essential to their life-long well-being.

Torbjorn is pragmatic and practical. He believes that the role of government is to provide intelligent leadership which makes sensible and affordable choices that are in the best interests of the community. He believes that reduced energy consumption will lead to lower costs and better productivity, that shifting taxes from income or payroll to waste and pollution will promote good policy without costing more and that cleaner air and water will mean lower health costs.

He also believes in democracy and strongly advocates for electoral change. We have had a government which won a majority with only 37% of the popular vote! The current government only had 48% but has 70% of the seats. Torbjorn believes that if you do anything in this election you should vote to change the electoral system to Mixed Member Proportional which will ensure that a majority will indeed rule.
