Mott; reelected to the Sixty-ninth and Seventieth Congresses and served from November 6, 1923, until his death as the result of an airplane accident at Whitney Point, Broome County, N.Y., May 1, 1928; chairman, Committee on Expenditures in the Department of War (Sixty-ninth Congress); interment in the Rural Cemetery, Phoenix, N.Y.
