I am a 27 year old graduate student and political science instructor who believes strongly in individual liberty and personal responsibility. I oppose the use of coercion by government and by other individuals to force people to do things they ordinarily would not do. This is my first campaign for public office.
Early life
I grew up in rural Crawford County, Ohio on a farm. The red "X" shows the approximate location of my childhood home. I was born in Bucyrus, Ohio (pop. 14,000) and went to school at Buckeye Central High School in nearby New Washington, Ohio (pop. 1,000). I graduated in May 1992 in a class of 48 students.

Recent Events
After graduating from high school in 1992, I attended Kent State University. I graduated in May 1996 summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts degree. My major was political science with a minor in paralegal studies.
In August 1996, I moved to Oxford, Ohio, in Butler County, where I reside to this day. I earned a Master of Arts degree from Miami University in Oxford in December 1997. I am currently teaching political science courses and writing my Ph.D. dissertation.
