| Info | Bill Hawk has held the Office of Supervisor for Lower Paxton since January 1, 1996. Bill serves the Board of Supervisors as its Chairman, and he is also Chairman of the Lower Paxton Township Authority. Bill has also been appointed to the Dauphin County Planning Commission and the Tri-County Regional Planning Commission. The Pa State Association of Township Supervisors also appointed Bill to the land use and managed growth committee. As a Supervisor, Bill has been actively involved in the development of the Friendship Community Center and has been active to help resolve sanitary sewer issues in the Township as well as transportation issues, the Comprehensive Plan, along with appropriate updates in zoning ordinances. Bill's current background in Bond issues has helped the Township with financing current projects. Bill will continue his efforts with intermunicipal cooperation. Additionally, Bill was recently elected to serve on the Executive Board of the Pennsylvania State Association of Township Supervisors.
In addition to serving our community as a Township Supervisor, Bill has held the elected/appointed offices of Chairman of the Lower Paxton Township Republican Committee and President of the Colonial Park Rotary Club. He has been a Dale Carnegie Course instructor for the past 30 years. Bill is also a member of all Masonic organizations and a Board member on several organizations. Bill is a graduate of John Harris High School, and a graduate of Lebanon Valley College where he earned a B.S. degree in Economics.
Bill and his wife "Billie" founded The Hawk Gallery & Framing Studio, which they operated for over 16 years.
Bill is married to Miriam Wiker (Billie). They have two children, David and Debra, and two grandchildren, Abby and Ben. Bill and his family reside at 4017 Eastbrook Road, Harrisburg, PA. Bill and his wife are members of Progress Immanuel Presbyterian Church, where Bill is active on the Church Board.
