Councilman Fairfield has a law practice in Kansas City North. He has been practicing law since 1982. He served as a Municipal judge for the City of Platte Woods from May 1995 to April 2003. He was a prosecuting attorney for the City of Platte Woods and Northmoor from 1983 to 1993. Councilman Fairfield served as president of the Platte County Bar Association and the Clay-Platte Municipal Associate Circuit Judges Association.
Councilman Fairfield was raised in the Kansas City area and has been very involved in the local community. He was the chairman/president of the Northland Regional Chamber of Commerce, as well as a board member. Councilman Fairfield served two separate terms on the Public Improvements Advisory Committee. Among his contributions to the community, Fairfield founded and served as president, vice president and as a board member of Forward Kansas City. This organization is comprised of nonpartisan individuals from Northland neighborhoods, businesses and labor organizations.
Councilman Fairfield also served as chairman of the Synergy Girls Home Task Force. The task force’s work led to the construction of a long-term home for abused adolescent girls in Parkville, Mo.
Councilman Fairfield graduated from the University of Missouri-Kansas City with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and also received a law degree from UMKC.
Councilman Fairfield is married to Vicki Fairfield and has a daughter, Madison.
