Engaged in the wholesale coal and lumber business; elected manager of the Port of Philadelphia Ocean Traffic Bureau in September 1927 and served until 1933
U.S. Representative (R-PA) 1933-1935; unsuccessful candidate for reelection in 1934 to the Seventy-fourth Congress
Resumed the wholesale coal business in Philadelphia, Pa.; died in Philadelphia on September 28, 1939; interment in West Laurel Hill Cemetery.
