Info | WYANT, Adam Martin, a Representative from Pennsylvania; born near Kittanning, Armstrong County, Pa., September 15, 1869; attended the public schools, Mount Pleasant Institute, and Bucknell University, Lewisburg, Pa.; was graduated from the University of Chicago in 1895; moved to Greensburg, Westmoreland County, Pa., in 1896; studied law; was admitted to the Westmoreland County Bar in 1902 and commenced the practice of law in Greensburg; interested in coal mining and other business enterprises; elected as a Republican to the Sixty-seventh and to the five succeeding Congresses (March 4, 1921-March 3, 1933); was an unsuccessful candidate for reelection in 1932 to the Seventy-third Congress; resumed his former business pursuits; died in Greensburg, Pa., on January 5, 1935; interment in St. Clair Cemetery.
