InfoDavid Perryman, a Chickasha Democrat, is a candidate for the Oklahoma House of Representatives District 56, serving Grady, Caddo, and Kiowa counties.

As a partner in a local law firm, Perryman has operated a practice representing small businesses, rural water districts, and small towns for more than 28 years.

As a member of the community, he has served as President of the Chickasha Kiwanis Club, and the Grady County Bar Association. He is also an elder at the Southern Oaks Church of Christ, in Chickasha. Additionally, David is involved in several organizations devoted to supporting OSU as an alumnus.

David has deep roots in Oklahoma and District 56. From his candidacy announcement:

“Perryman’s great-grandparents settled in western Caddo County in 1902; they saw Oklahoma as a place of “opportunity for themselves and for their children.” They raised children and their children raised children and their children’s children raised children in what is now District 56.”

Perryman earned degrees from Eastern Oklahoma State College, Oklahoma State University, and achieved his Juris Doctorate at the University of Oklahoma College of Law. He considers himself to be the product of a high quality public education. Today, he hopes to ensure continuity of that quality system.

As an Oklahoman, David intends to work on behalf of future generations so that they will have the same opportunities to succeed that he has:

“I view my service to this region of Oklahoma as a public service, finding ways for citizens to be empowered to improve their situation for their children and the children of others. Education, jobs and quality of life are the most important factors in keeping District 56 vibrant. That will be my goal as the Representative of the people of House District 56.”
