| Info | For the past 14 years, Renee True has been charged with making sure Fayette County's tax system is fair, honest, and transparent. After four years of Ernie Fletcher, it's exactly the kind of experience our state government needs.
Since becoming Fayette County Property Value Administrator in January of 1992, True has run a PVA office that's the envy of jurisdictions across Kentucky in part by handling 30% more cases with the same budget. She's won numerous awards for making Fayette County's tax system more responsive and accountable, including Fayette County being named the "Outstanding Jurisdiction" by her fellow PVAs statewide in 2006.
For Renee True, being a PVA isn't just about numbers, it's about making government work for people. She knows that every dollar of tax revenue that slips through the system is a dollar that can't go for tax cuts for families who deserve them, or government services for those who need them.
Those are values she learned being raised on the family farm, as a member of the Southland Christian Church, and as the mother of four. And those are the values she'll bring to the job as Kentucky's Lieutenant Governor.
