Born in PA, 1/4/23. Raised at Hebrew National Orphans Home in Yonkers, NY. 1st Lieut. US Army WWII; severely wounded by land mine in Germany. Treated in army hospitals; discharged from Fitzsimmons Hospital. Attended DU and DU Law School. Began practice of law in Denver, 1951. At age 30 became youngest District Court Judge elected to CO bench, serving from 1954-58. Subsequently elected District Attorney in Arapahoe County, holding that position until 1968. Survived by his wife of 57 years, Edie, 4 children, Lucy, Mike, Katy and Dan, 2 sons-in-law, Bill Whalen and Greg Eurich, 2 daughters-in-law, Laura Cuetara and Michelle Miller, sister-in-law, Phyllis Wolf, and 12 grandchildren (all of whom live close to family home in Littleton), 2 nieces, and a host of friends and colleagues.
