Mr. Terry McBrayer is the senior partner and lead lobbyist for the McBrayer, McGinnis, Leslie & Kirkland law firm. He is a native of Greenup, Kentucky, and a graduate of Morehead State University and the University of Louisville School of Law.

He has held numerous leadership positions in state government. Mr. McBrayer was an elected member of the Kentucky House of Representative, serving in the leadership roles of House Speaker Pro Tempore and Majority Floor Leader during his tenure. He has also served as Chief Executive Officer for a former governor.

Mr. McBrayer also has served in numerous other roles, including Commissioner of the Kentucky Department of Commerce, Chairman of the Kentucky Board of Tax Appeals, member of the University of Kentucky Board of Trustees, Chairman of Kentucky Education Television, Chairman of the Lexington Chamber of Commerce and longtime member of the Kentucky Council on Higher Education.

In 1995, Mr. McBrayer served as Chairman of the Kentucky Democratic Party. In that capacity, he was credited for leading the successful election campaign of Kentucky Governor Paul Patton. He served as President Clinton's Authorized Representative for Kentucky during the 1992 and 1996 campaigns, and currently is a National Committeeman for the Democratic National Committee.

A respected figure in national legal and political circles, Mr. McBrayer is the past chairman of the State Capital Law Firm Group.
