| Info | Scott Milne is the second of four children born to Don and Marion Milne. Scott’s family lived in Barre until 1964 when they moved to Twin Brook Farm, in the Orange County town of the Washington. Their new home had been a working sheep farm for most of the prior century. Family, pets, chores, school, and spending lots of time outdoors, occupied most of Scott’s early life. Twin Brook Farm was a great part of it all.
Scott is an entrepreneur. “I love making businesses work and teams work…from selling newspapers and rabbits as a kid, to painting houses, to promoting concerts, to running Milne Travel American Express.”
In addition to the businesses Scott has started or operated, he has enjoyed a couple of dozen different jobs in his life. He’s been a farm laborer, a construction worker, a grocery store clerk, a bartender, a waiter, a political campaign aide, and an investigator for a Public Defender (ok, the last one was an unpaid internship, but a great learning experience).
Scott is currently President of the Vermont Society of Travel Agents, an advisory board member for Australian based Travcorp, and he is involved with the Vermont Chamber of Commerce.
Scott is a former president of Vermont Association of Private and Non-Profit Organizations, and a former advisory board member of American Express, and Avis, among other organizations.
Primarily through Milne Travel, Scott is supportive of over 100 civic and non-profit organizations.
