Rep. Funderburk is a 25 year member of the IBEW Local #1 and is a member of the Church of the Rock where he has served in many outreach and administrative ministries. Rep. Funderburk was first elected to the St. Charles County Council in 1996. He served seven consecutive years in Council leadership, including four as Chairman. He is currently a board member of the Missouri Association of Counties and is an active leader in the Boy Scouts of America.

Rep. Funderburk is a graduate of Ranken Technical College with a degree in Instrumentation and Process Controls Technology.

Rep. Funderburk was born on May 17, 1956 and currently lives in St. Charles with his wife Denise and their two sons Brandon and Logan.
