InfoFrank Daly was born on September 5, 1949, in Chester, Pennsylvania. He was raised in Nether Providence along with his 5 brothers and sisters by his mom, Ann R. Daly, after his father died in 1950. Frank's grandfather was Congressman J. Burrwood Daly who voted for the original Social Security Act in 1935. Ironically, because of his father's premature death, Frank received survivor's social security benefits, which helped his mom with family expenses and assisted Frank in pursuing higher education.

After graduating from St. John Chrysostom Elementary School and St. James High School in Chester, PA, he received his BS in Business Administration from Villanova University in 1971. In 1974 he received his Juris Doctor (JD) degree from the Dickinson School of Law of the Pennsylvania State University and finished in the top 3 percentile in the Pennsylvania and National Bar Exam. Frank also earned a post-graduate law school degree (LLM) in taxation from Temple University Law School and is now a Fellow of the Academy of Advocacy of Temple Law School.

Frank Daly has been practicing law in Media for over 33 years. He has maintained a broad general practice with experience in every area of law and has primarily represented the average Delco resident in assisting them with their various legal problems. Representing his clients has taken Frank into every level of State and Federal courts. He has successfully handled a 47-day civil jury trial in Philadelphia Common Pleas Court and has won Appellate cases in the U.S. Federal Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit, the Pennsylvania Superior and Commonwealth Courts, The U.S. Federal Court of Claims and U.S. Tax Court in Washington D.C.

Frank received the most notoriety from his representation of Julie Amber-Messick. Her son, Christopher Kangas, was a member of the Brookhaven Volunteer Fire Department; he died in a tragic accident while responding to an alarm; however, he was officially denied recognition by the federal government as a "Firefighter." To date Frank has been successful in having the U.S. Federal Court of Claims overturn the denial of recognition by the Department of Justice. However, the DOJ appealed the trial court's decision to the U.S. Federal Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit. We are presently awaiting their decision. If successful, Christopher Kangas's name will finally be rightfully placed on the national Fallen Firefighter's Memorial in Emmetsburg, MD in a ceremony this October.

In addition to the full-time practice of law, Frank has served his community as Mayor of Media for 10 years, solicitor for 10 years and presently serves as President of the Media Borough Council. It was Frank who coined the phrase "Everybody's Hometown" for Media to celebrate the diversity found in the County Seat. He, along with many others, has been responsible for the renaissance of Media. He personally founded the Media 5 Mile Run, the Media Festival of Food and the Media Business Authority, which sponsors all of the events on State Street.

In addition to his accomplishments in community service, Frank is a life member of the Media Area NAACP, a volunteer for the Big Brother/Big Sister program and coached softball for 13 years in the Media Area Girls Softball League. He was elected to the Media Oldtimer's Association Hall of Fame for promotion and is in the Media Softball Association Hall of Fame.

Frank and his wife Michele have been married for 34 years and have a daughter Maura Kathleen Daly who recently graduated from Temple University with a degree in Communications.
