InfoEdward Feighan is a Founder and Managing Director of Blue Plate Ventures. He is the Chairman of Comet Video Technologies, a Cleveland, Ohio based video and audio compression software development company. He is one of the founders and initial investors in Comet Video. Until joining BluePlate, Mr. Feighan served as the Managing Partner of Alliance Financial, Ltd., an Ohio-based merchant banking firm specializing in mergers and acquisitions.

Mr. Feighan has considerable management and financing experience in both private and public-company ventures. As one of the senior principals in the privately-held Alliance Holding Corporation in the early 1990's, Mr. Feighan helped lead the growth of a start-up specialty insurance company to more than $40 million of revenue within five years, each year exceeding industry norms for profitability. With his senior management team, Mr. Feighan took that venture public in 1996 and served as the founding President and CEO for two years. During his tenure, Century Business Services, Inc. (NASDAQ: CBIZ) increased its revenues to more than $400 million, and more importantly, realized a ten-fold increase in its stock price.

In the past twenty years, Mr. Feighan has been one of the leading principals in several successful start-ups, including American Foreign Capital Partners, a Russian-American venture with interests in advertising and software development; IgnitionPoint Studios, a New York-based digital production company; and ProFinance Holding Corporation, an insurance holding company.

Mr. Feighan served 20 consecutive years in elected office from 1973 to 1993 as a Member of the Ohio House of Representatives, a Cuyahoga County Commissioner and as a Member of the United States House of Representatives for ten years. Congressman Feighan, recognized as an authority on foreign policy and international trade and finance, has served as a Presidential appointee to the Council on Economic Opportunity; as a member of the Commission on Privatization in Russia; as a member of the U.S. Commission for Improving the United Nations; as a trustee of the National Democratic Institute for International Affairs; as a board member of the National Council of International Programs; and as board member of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum.

Mr. Feighan currently serves on several corporate boards of directors. He earned his law degree from Cleveland State University after completing his undergraduate studies at Borromeo Catholic Seminary and Loyola University, New Orleans. He is the father of four children, and shares his residence between Cleveland, OH and New York, NY.
