She received her Bachelor’s degree in music education from the University of Maine in 2002 with highest honors. She worked for the University’s Honors College for one year before pursuing a Master’s degree in higher education from Harvard University.

Rep. Cain works as Coordinator of Advancement for the Honors College at the University of Maine and is a delegate to the New England Board of Higher Education.

She lives in Orono with her husband, the Hon. Daniel B. Williams, who represented Orono in the 119th Legislature
