| Info | Harvey Hyland is a life long resident of Laurel, Delaware. He is the son of Pauline Hyland and the late Harvey W. Hyland, Sr. Harvey has been married to Moezell Hopkins Hyland for 43 years. They have three children: Harvey W. Hyland III, (Wendy) Michael Hyland and Andrea Hyland.
Harvey attended school in the Laurel School District and graduated from the William C. Jason High School in Georgetown, DE. After completing one year at Delaware State College in Dover, Harvey enlisted in the U.S. Air Force. Four years later he received an honorable discharge and returned to Delaware State. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Health and Physical Education. He received additional certifications at Delaware State University and Wesley College.
Harvey was an educator for 28 years in Delaware at Seaford High School where he was also assistant football coach; Sussex Vo-Tech; Worcester County Vocational; and Woodbridge School District.
