InfoKen was born over 58 years ago in the rural town of Brimfield, Ma. He removed to NYC in 1968 and became a back office employee for the Wall Street Brokerage firm of Smith Barney Inc. While there he attended the New York Institute of Finance. Ken stayed on Wall Street for four and a half years where he gained a working knowledge of large urban life and the securities industry.

Early in 1973 Ken moved to Southern California where he stayed a short time as a real estate agent. He enlisted in the US Air Force later in 1973 and served as a B-52 weapons system missile system analyst for the Short Range Attack Missile. This required a top secret clearance for a variety of reasons, target information as well as nuclear capability parameters etc.. Ken was the honor graduate of NCO leadership school at Mather AFB in 1976.

Ken met his wife Lois while stationed at Grand Forks Air Base in 1974. They were married that year. They have been happily married with four grown children and seven grandchildren.

Ken applied for operation bootstrap in 1976 and was among the 1% of the applicants accepted. This resulted in his earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration (Finance) from California State University Sacramento in 1977. He then switched fields to become a budget analyst NCO. In 1979 Ken applied for Officer Training School and was accepted. He was commissioned by President Carter as an Air Force officer in 1980. He remained as department of defense budget officer making and executing budgets. The prioritization of limited assets in conjunction with assigned mission requirements was a very challenging task. Ken served as an officer until 1982 when he received an honorable discharge to begin a life with his young family of six in the private sector.

The Lucier family settled in Moorhead, MN in 1982 where Ken was employed as an account executive for Dain Bosworth Inc. After a short stint as a stock broker, Ken decided the more secure job of working for the US Postal Service would be a better fit for his family. He started at the USPS in 1984 and worked in mail distribution until his retirement in May 2006. He took pleasure in serving his colleagues as a shop steward and local branch president of his craft union. This experience was rewarding as he developed a working knowledge of labor management issues.

Ken ran unsuccessfully for the Moorhead School District Board of Education in 1987 and 1989. He missed election by only 19 votes in 1987 when he received the Moorhead Education Association's Outstanding Layperson in Education award. He was recognized for his volunteer activity in the school district over several years and his stands on district education policy.

Ken spearheaded the first successful initiated measure in the history of Moorhead in 1990. He managed to secure a bipartisan coalition of various interest groups to overturn the city ordinance of 1989 allowing on and off sale liquor sales on Sunday. Unfortunately in 1991 the food and beverage association garnered a lot of cash and sponsored the 2nd successful initiated measure, which overturned the earlier one.

Mr. Lucier became actively involved in partisan politics in 1995 when he became a director of the local Republican Party organization. He was elected deputy chair in 1998 and chair of the Clay county republicans in 2000. Ken served in that capacity until 2002.

Ken has distanced himself from the Republican Party in recent years recognizing that there is a clear disconnect between what they say and what they do. They are not moving in the right direction only moving slower in the wrong direction.

Mr. Lucier has felt very comfortable settling in the Constitution Party as the one that he hopes will fill the void the other parties have created by constantly moving on the political spectrum closer to total government.

The Lucier family has attended Salem Evangelical Free Church In Fargo since 1983. Mr. Lucier begins a term as a director on the board of Red River Youth for Christ in July 2006

His hobbies include sports memorabilia collecting, stamp collecting, sculling, and indoor rowing on the ergometer. He also throws the shot put and discus for relaxation. He also is an avid family historian.
