The licensed acupuncturist was born and raised in Israel. Before moving to Bethany in 1989 he spent eight years in Switzerland.

The 45-year-old practices his art in Bethany, Naugatuck and New York City. In the Spring he will finish his degree in Oriental Medicine.

* Bo was born on February 18, 1959, at Afula Hospital in Israel.
* He is the second of three children born to Esther and the late Sasson Itshaky, who raised him in kibbutz Ramot Menashe.
* After completing his military service in the late 70’s, Bo traveled extensively around the world. He spent most of the 1980s in Switzerland before moving in 1989 to his current residency in Bethany.
* Bo has completed his Master of Science in Oriental Medicine (MSOM) from the Tri-State College of Acupuncture (New York, NY) in 2004 and is currently practicing in Orange and Cheshire.
* In 2005, he ran as an independent for First Selectman in Bethany
* In 2006, he became a member of the Bethany Republican Town Committee and ran on the Republican line for Connecticut’s State Senate 17th District.
* In 2007, Bo was elected to represent the 17th State Senatorial District on the Connecticut Republican State Central Committee
