InfoVictor Mitchell, 51, of Castle Rock, Colorado is a successful businessman and life-long entrepreneur who has founded or turned around companies ranging from wireless to technology to real estate services to finance. Currently, Mitchell runs Lead (“leed”) Funding, a specialty lending organization that provides innovative private financing options and solutions for homebuilders and developers, reducing their red tape and speeding up loan decisions. The company has experienced near-100% annual growth since its inception in 2009, and serves clientele in Colorado, Nevada, Washington, Texas and Arizona with expansion plans for Georgia and Minnesota.

Prior to entering the real estate sector, Mitchell founded several successful wireless communications companies and turned around several others that were failing before he took them over. His innovative management strategies allowed numerous “mom-and-pop” wireless retailers to achieve financial success by aggregating their selling power to bargain successfully for favorable rights from national wireless service providers.

In 2000, one of his companies was named “Colorado Small Business of the Year” by the Denver Metro Chamber of Commerce. The Denver Business Journal placed Mitchell on its coveted “top 40 under 40” list of business executives, and he was a finalist in Ernst and Young’s nationally recognized “Entrepreneur of the Year” contest. Mitchell has also been featured in Entrepreneur magazine.

From 2007 to 2009, Mitchell served in the Colorado State Legislature, representing an Assembly district in portions of Douglas and Teller Counties. As a legislator, he passed and secured funding for an inventive program that provides tracking devices for Alzheimer’s patients, providing comfort for caregiving family members and cost savings for law enforcement agencies.

Feeling he could accomplish more for Colorado and the business community outside the legislature, he turned his attention to founding an organization, Save Colorado Jobs, that lead the statewide campaign to defeat Prop 103 in 2011, a ballot measure that would have increased both the state income and sales tax rates, and been the largest tax increase in Colorado’s history.

Mitchell, along with his wife of 27 years, Amy, has been active in numerous civic and community organizations, including Meals on Wheels. He has served as an adjunct faculty member in the College of Business at Colorado State University, and is a graduate of San Diego State University and The Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University.

A native of New York, Mitchell moved to California as a young boy, along with his single and disabled mother, leaving his father and two older sisters behind in New York. Ever the entrepreneur, he worked his way through college and at only 21 years of age started his very first enterprise. Subsequently, he has never worked for anyone else.

Today, Mitchell is an avid tennis player, enjoys traveling and hiking, and is a devoted father to his 23-year old daughter Lauren, a Computer Scientist with JP Morgan, his 20-year old son, David, a West Point Cadet, and daughter Emily, age 13, a 7th grader who is active with singing and acting. The Mitchell family is a member of Saint Thomas More Church in Centennial.
