InfoI was raised in Raymond, graduated from Raymond Lincolnwood and then went on to work and college. I now live in Taylorville with my wife Denise. We’ve lived in Taylorville for 20 years and have raised our 2 daughters there - Megan a wife and mother who lives in Virden and Abbey a sophomore at WIU in Macomb.
I’m employed at Dominion Energy’s Kincaid Station, which is the former Commonwealth Edison Station, located just outside of Kincaid in Christian County. My current position there is a Regional Process Manager of Six Sigma. Six Sigma is a quality program that finds a better way of doing business.

I am an Alderman on the Taylorville City Council, Chairman of the Ordinance Committee, serve on the Finance, Street, Sewer, and Emergency Services committees and am the City Representative on the Illinois Main Street Program and the Taylorville Library Board.

I am on the Executive Board of the Shadow Home, which is a Christian based transitional housing unit that provides education and resources to women who are striving to make a better life for themselves and their children. I have been involved for many years with the United Way and am a past Chairman of Commonwealth Edison’s United Way campaign drive. Additionally, I was a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) for over 20 years.

I look forward to serving the fine citizens of this District and bringing a fresh approach and increased focus to downstate Illinois.

Thank you,
Jeff Richey
