InfoMax Linn, president of “Eight is Still Enough,” is a citizen activist who has spent more than a decade fighting to establish and enforce term limits in Florida and across the country. The current legislative effort to overturn term limits in Florida has given new life to Linn’s crusade.

Linn is a financial professional who has dedicated himself to public service. In addition to founding the” Eight Is Still Enough” term limits organization and the “Florida Citizens For Term Limits”, Linn also established the “Military Families Foundation”, a nationwide charity dedicated to improving the lives of military families suffering from a death or disability as a result of the War on Terror.

In the ongoing fight over term limits, Linn was at the forefront of the battle against a 1999 Supreme Court challenge to existing law in Florida. The amendment to the Florida constitution, which created term limits, had been put in place by 77 percent of voters in a referendum conducted in 1992. Linn opposed the 1999 court challenge to the will of the voters.

That year, Linn took his crusade to support term limits to the steps of the Florida Supreme Court and to cities and towns around the state. Realizing that Americans cannot expect to have citizen legislators without citizen participation, Linn spearheaded a grassroots movement called “Ideas Florida”. He conducted a series of town meetings around the state encouraging local participation in upcoming elections.

Linn’s passionate battle in support of term limits was reignited in April of 2005 when members of the Florida House and Senate passed a proposal calling for a twelve-year term limit. Feeling that Florida voters and the Supreme Court had already expressed themselves clearly in favor of eight-year term limits, Linn took up the fight against legislators’ new gambit to defeat the constitution. He created the “Eight Is Still Enough” movement to remind voters and legislators to stand firm in the November 2006 ballot on the issue of term limits.

He is also sponsoring a voter initiative to end taxpayer-funded pensions for legislators and another initiative called “Eight & Out” to prevent legislators from running for office for five years after they have served their full eight-year term.

Before devoting all of his attention to public service in 2004, Max enjoyed a successful two-decade career in the financial planning industry. He was Vice President of Investments for A. G. Edwards & Sons, Inc., and President of his own registered investment advisory firm, Linn and Associates.

Max Linn became nationally known and sought-after as a public speaker because of his groundbreaking success with financial seminars and workshops. He has often been quoted as a financial authority in national media, including USA Today and Research Magazine. Max has also been a columnist for Tampa Bay Magazine and has hosted two television shows, The Financial Explorer and The Conservative Investor.

As a dynamic and experienced speaker and broadcaster, Max Linn is currently scheduling media interviews and public speaking events in support of the “Eight Is Still Enough” movement.
