Bemba is a politician of the democratic Republic of Congo, current vice-president of the Republic. It installed its district general in Gbadolite, in the province of Ecuador, old stronghold of Mobutu sese Seko.

Called the chairman, he is the founder and the current strong man of the Movement of Release of Congo which he represents, as a vice-president, within the Government of transition since June 30 2003.

It results from the entourage of former president Mobutu Sese Seko of which it is related (his/her sister is the wife of one of wire of the former president). Father of four children, this man of one meter ninety made his studies in Brussels in Belgium and is laid off in commercial and consular sciences of the ICHEC, at the side of Olivier Kamitatu who became the president of the Congolese French National Assembly. In the Nineties, it launches out in telecommunication, aviation and the audio-visual one by creating various companies.

In 1997, it is exiled at the time of the seizure of power by the Alliance of the democratic Forces for the Release of Congo (AFDL) carried out by Laurent-Desired Kabila. In 1998, it created the MLC and its army, the Army of Release of Congo (ALC) with the support of the Ugandan troops.

In 2002, it is strongly suspected of continuing to acquire weapons. It would have allowed its militia some interventions on other side of the border, in Central African Republic, with colonel Kadhafi, with an aim of supporting the mode of Angel-Felix Patassé. At the time of these interventions, its underpaid famous militia would be devoted to exactions: flights, rapes, plunderings.

In 2003, it does not support the charges of cannibalism emitted by the United Nations. It dislocates their functions the militiamans who were shown to have constrained under the threat of weapons of the women Pygmies to cook then to eat their husbands. One year later of other Pygmies will admit not to be eaten, creating a doubt about the patronyms. It is the business of “Mambasa”.
