| Info | Mercer County, PA website bio [Link] ... Commissioner Michele Brooks is serving her first commissioner term as Vice-Chair of the Mercer County Board of Commissioners. Mrs. Brooks was a two-term borough council member, serving on the finance, budget, personnel, grants, and police committees, a member of the Mercer County Regional Planning Commission and also served as a member of the Mercer County Land Use Management Project in conjunction with the University of Pittsburgh. She played an integral role in acquiring nearly 3 million dollars in grant money for the community as a council member. She is Vice-Chair of the Jamestown Municipal Authority. Commissioner Brooks is active in the community as co-founder and Vice-President of the Jamestown Future Foundation, a Rotarian, a member of Leadership Shenango, and is involved in the Mercer County American Cancer Society’s Daffodil Campaign. She was selected 1 of 19 highly qualified women in the state and has since graduated from the Anne Anstine “Excellence in Public Service” which educates women for leadership in government. Commissioner Brooks and her husband Guy have two children, a son Brandin and a daughter Taylor.
