graduated from Iroquois High School and the University of Louisville with a
B.S. In food and Nutrition and a M. Ed. in Health Education and Wellness.
Donna became a Registered Dietitian in 1975 after completing an Internship in
Clinical Nutrition in suburban Chicago, and returned to Louisville to spend
the next 25 years practicing Dietetics in all areas, including hospitals, nursing homes, public health, corrections, management consulting and teaching in hospitals and community college.
Donna has also been involved with her family businesses since she was a
child. Currently she is Chief Financial officer of the Colonel Walker Flag
Company owned by her mother, Lorretta, since the death of her beloved father
"the Colonel". Donna also serves a CFO to the Jefferson Review.com. an
exciting new e-newspaper she helped found. She also earned a property and
casualty insurance license in Kentucky and worked in the Walker Insurance
Agency before the family business was sold in 1987.
Donna Mancini is the Chair of both the Libertarian Party of Kentucky and
Jefferson County. She has been a Libertarian ALL her life but found "the
Party" in 1995. She vowed to become active after her only son David, graduated
from Dupont Manual High School in 1997 where she was Vice President of
Fundraising for the PTSA. David Graduated in May, and Donna Became local
Chair in June. She was elected state chair in 1999, the first woman to
be state LPK chair in Kentucky.
