|Info||Scott Perry began his working career at age 13 picking fruit at Ashcombe's farm. He worked as a mechanic, a dock worker, draftsman, and a licensed insurance agent. He is a 1980 graduate of Northern High School and the Cumberland-Perry Vo-Tech School. Scott put himself through college while working a full-time job. |
Scott Perry graduated from Penn State University in 1991 and holds a Bachelors of Science degree in business administration management. In 1993, he started his own mechanical contracting firm, Hydrotech Mechanical Services, Incorporated. The Dillsburg-based business provides contract construction and maintenance services to municipal and investor-owned utilities. The firm provides services from North Carolina to New York, and specializes in large meter calibration. Scott has employed up to 15 technicians at one time in support of on-going contract work.
Scott is an officer in the Pennsylvania Army National Guard where he currently holds the rank of Lt. Colonel and is the Aviation Safety officer of the Joint Command, State Aviation Office. He has received numerous awards and decorations, including the Master Army Aviator Badge, the Meritorious Service Medal, and the Joint Army Commendation Medal. Perry has served on active duty in numerous commands including holding the position of Executive Officer of Task Force Saber in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Scott Perry currently serves as the Chairman of the Carroll Township Planning Commission and as a member of the township Source Water Protection Committee. He was chairman of the Dillsburg Area Wellhead Protection Advisory Committee and he served on the Dillsburg Revitalization Committee. He is still active in the Jaycee's and held the office of Regional Director for the state organization. He is also a member of Dillsburg Legion Post #26 and Dillsburg VFW Post #6771.
Scott has been an active Republican, currently serving on the county executive committee as well as his position as the local Committeeman in Carroll Township. He is a past President of the Pennsylvania Young Republicans, the Republican Club of York, the Northern York County Republican Club, and the York County Young Republicans. He has served in various capacities on numerous campaigns from President to township supervisor.
