Info | Buck Watts has lived in District 8, Tracadie - Hillsborough Park his whole life. As a fisherman, businessman, and volunteer, Buck knows first-hand the value of hard work and giving back to one’s community.
Buck was the co-founder and Chair of the Grand Tracadie Community Council and had an integral part in building a baseball diamond and hockey rink in his community. He helped make the PEI Fisherman’s Association a stronger organization assisting and supporting fishers in the industry. He is also a honorary member of the Canadian Council of Professional Fish Harvesters.
Tracadie - Hillsborough Park is a unique district with both rural and urban residents facing different issues and challenges. “I am deeply concerned by fact that many Islanders are waiting too long for access to health care. Something as basic as access to a family doctor should never be taken for granted.”
Buck also knows the real value in the Island’s primary industries and how farming, fishing and tourism are a way of life for so many Islanders. He feels passionate about passing along our life’s work, culture and traditions to future generations.
Buck lives in Grand Tracadie with his wife Margie. They have three grown children, Steven, Kim and Jason along with four very active grandchildren, Alex, Kaylee, Josh and Jared.
